Cura plans to integrate SAP BusinessObjects Edge BI software With next-generation Cura solutions
Boston, USA - Dec. 14, 2009 - Global governance, risk and compliance vendor Cura Software Solutions today announced an OEM agreement with SAP AG, through which users of Cura's next-generation solutions will benefit from integration with best-of-breed, on-demand reports from SAP. Cura plans to integrate SAP® BusinessObjectsTM Edge Business Intelligence (BI), Crystal Reports® and Xcelsius® software with the forthcoming release of Cura Audit and Cura v3 Dashboards governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions starting Q1-2010.
"This agreement is a vital step for Cura, since it allows us to focus more deeply on the logic and intellectual property that lies within our suite of GRC solutions, while knowing that the reporting and dashboarding end of the equation is being handled by one of the most trusted names in the market," said Avi Eyal, CEO, Cura Software.
"As an SAP BusinessObjects OEM partner, we will also have access to functionality we weren't able to offer our customers before. We're looking forward to offering our customers reporting and dashboarding functionality that not only looks more visually appealing, but is compiled within much shorter timeframes and is more customizable and granular in nature. We believe the integration of SAP BusinessObjects Edge BI, Crystal Reports and Xcelsius software with our suite will bring us numerous benefits in the long-term evolution of our solution functionality and customer acceptance."
Prior to entering into the agreement with SAP BusinessObjects, Cura had a proprietary reporting engine, which required substantial development and upkeep to stay abreast of technology and product changes. Cura's customers required new methods of interaction with reporting and dashboarding data. After a detailed review of solutions, Cura chose SAP BusinessObjects BI software due to its comprehensive functionality available using Java in the web browser environment. The incorporation of the SAP reporting and dashboarding solutions will reduce time to market and cost of development for customers, further helping to increase Cura's competitive advantage in the marketplace.
SAP BusinessObjects Edge BI software is a powerful business intelligence choice for companies that want to improve business processes, discover new opportunities, and gain a competitive advantage. This comprehensive, versatile suite delivers solutions that address business intelligence requirements - from flexible ad-hoc reporting and analysis, to dashboards and visualization, to powerful data integration and quality as well as prepackaged data mart solutions.
"SAP BusinessObjects Edge BI software delivers comprehensive, flexible and affordable solutions for customers and provides the intelligence to help keep companies ahead of ever-shifting business conditions," said Wyatt Mullin, vice president, Global ISV Channel, SAP BusinessObjects Division.
"The software, integrated with offerings from Cura, will help deliver to customers an easy-to-use, proven, affordable solution that promotes cost efficiencies and delivers measurable impact on business performance. Our partnership with Cura will empower Cura's customers with the right combination of solutions and expertise to make data intuitively accessible."
Cura's new agreement with SAP is also a vital step in the interoperability stakes, since the data extracted from Cura's suite of solutions will immediately become usable and complementary to other systems and business intelligence tools.
